Sponsor a Teacher!
Over the last 17 years, the Bukit Lawang Trust has made it its mission to ensure that financial poverty and other socio-economic factors are not a barrier to good education, and employment opportunities. That is why we strive to support the local community by hiring all of our teaching staff from within the community.
We're now offering you the opportunity to do something really special, by sponsoring one of our local teachers you would be directly supporting one of our amazing team by contributing to their salary. In doing so you are ensuring they continue to have the money they need to provide for their families.
Please sponsor a teacher's monthly salary, so that we can continue to provide free education to the children of Bukit Lawang and 6 other rural communities along the border of the Leuser Ecosystem. Most of our educators come from disadvantaged backgrounds and have struggled against the odds to put themselves through school and tertiary education. Now with the Trust, they are working to support others to do the same.
