Fundraising

The Trust is continually looking for support as the cost of running the clinic is £10,000.00 per year. This is a relatively small amount when you consider this covers the cost of medicine, administration, the salary of a doctor, nurse and mid-wife and all electricity bills and other running costs.

2007 - For the health clinic construction, the Trust managed to raise £17,000.00 in 6 months. This was through a huge effort including car washes at Ransoms, Bag Packs at Checkers, and a detox day at Harbour galleries. We held a Valentines Ball at the Pomme D’or which raised £2500.00. We also had a Raffle on the 3rd March for which the top prize was a trip for 2 to france in a private plane. There was also a prize donated from Durrell wildlife of a years adoption of an orangutan named Jaya.

Thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make the clinic possible - Jon Richardson, Christa Roberts, Anita Brown, Ian and Kathryn Brown, Dave Ferey, Rachel Hall, Sue Gillespie, Nina Cornish, Dave West, Bob and Shirley Randel, Kirsten Miller and John Campbell.

Special thanks and well done should also go to Nicola Atkinson and Ashley Vardon who both ran marathons on behalf of the Trust!! Thank you!!

We also held a Christmas raffle and must thank NSEW, Laneez and Expressions photography for providing great prizes.

2008 - We began our 500 Club this year. For only £30.00 for the entire year - you enter a draw to win £500.00 every month! So for only £30.00 you will be in with 12 chances of winning £500.00 - plus you help us raise funds for an ultra-sound machine and an ambulance for the clinic! Please download the form below.

We will also be holding the Valentines Ball again in 2008 due to the huge success of last years ball. We plan to have a DJ, magician, chocolate fountain and lots of great prizes to ensure a great night. Thanks to all those who have offered great prizes so far including the Mayfair Hotel, Seasons Boutique, the Boathouse and IQ. THANK YOU!!!!

We also had a tent at the Grass Roots festival promoting the Trust and held numerous other bag packs and car washes - special thanks to Alexeen Stewart and all our other supporters.

2009 - On Saturday 14th February we held our annual BLT valentines Ball at the Royal Hotel. We had a Strictly Come Dancing theme and it was a great night - thanks to the team of Dancing Divas for their hard work and all our supporters - the Rice Family, Patrice Romeril, Peta Kalimerakis and all our sponsors:
